Quiznos® Sub #3008
812 Davis Street, Evanston, IL, USA

I have a few concerns about Quiznos which prevent me from enjoying it to the fullest. First and foremost, they have inconsistent naming across the franchise, like Blockbuster, which is sometimes "Blockbuster Video" and sometimes "Blockbuster Videos," and occassionally "lockbuster Video" if the 'B' light is out.

Quizno's, Quizno's Subs, Quiznos Subs, Quiznos Subwill the real Quizno please stand up?!?!?!

Also, their menu is intimidating, posted high above your head on the back wall, so you are placed in the undesirable situation of being stared down by the sandwichmaker while you try to make your decision. This inevitably makes it seem as though you are taking an unnaturally long time to order, even if you actually order quite punctually.

And: I have some kind of nostalgic loyalty to Subway, especially as it grows less and less cool to eat there.

That said, I do like the food at Quiznos®. It's toasty and tasty. During my visit to store #3008, I had some kind of mesquite chicken and bacon sandwich, while my companion had a Beefeater. The chips are especially good, and they had Vanilla Coke on tap. Sure, Vanilla Coke isn't that good, but you don't see it on tap every day.

I should say, though: the sandwiches are far too big. What kind of hay-eatin' fattiehorse do you think I am? The way they get you is by naming the large sandwich "regular," and the regular sandwich "small." I don't know who could eat a "large" … William "Refrigerator" Perry, perhaps???!?!

Another time I went to this same Quiznos® when it was raining SUPER hard.
