Goose Island Anniversary Ale

A darker and much stronger brew than Goose Island Blonde, Anniversary Ale is my least favorite yet from the ol' Goosehole.

A very powerful, veritably skunky aroma, and the lingering unpleasant aftertaste of childpiss made finishing this bottle a pretty arduous task.

For a while, I had developed a good tolerance for these yeasty, hoppy, European style micro-brews, but more and more, I find myself longing for the relative blandness of a Michelob Amber Bock, a Killian's Irish Red, or even a good ol' Budweiser. I mean, not every anniversary needs to be a special occasion – just ask the Lockhorns.
